Horrible experiences at School

I can’t believe this story in the Times the other day - about a little girl of 7 who was tied up and whipped with skipping ropes by some other children at school, and a dinner lady who was sacked because she told the parents exactly what had happened (admittedly it’s not clear in the article whether she also went to the papers with her story).

I told my husband about it, and he was dismissive - not of the story but of my complaining! “Yes, yes, look I know what you’re trying to do…” - i.e. convince him that schools are horrendous and that home education is the best thing since sliced bread (although obviously HE came first!). He’s limited me to one “GRR” at schools and the education system per week. The trouble is, I come across stuff every day that makes me so cross, and completely determined not to expose my children to all the awful day to day realities of life in the English State Education System.

I guess I’ll just have to vent on here then!
